Qualified or Trainee Asbestos Surveyor

Franks Portlock is a UKAS accredited, leading asbestos consultancy company, specialising in asbestos and environmental testing, asbestos surveys, and consultancy.  

 

We are looking for a fully qualified or trainee Asbestos surveyor to join our growing Rosyth team. 

 

Qualifications and experience 

The trainee role requires no prior qualifications or experience as full training will be provided to prepare you to complete your P402 and become a fully qualified Asbestos Surveyor.

 

Applicants for the qualified Asbestos Surveyor vacancy must hold a minimum of a BOHS 402 certificate and have 1 year of industry experience in asbestos surveying. 

 

A UK driving licence is required. 

 

The role 

As an Asbestos surveyor you will be responsible for; 

  • Carrying out asbestos surveys; management and refurbishment and demolition type surveys 
  • Conducting site walkthroughs and survey plans 
  • Creating reports 
  • Building and maintaining customer relations 
  • Representing the company always and in interactions with clients 

 

Skill Requirements: 

As an Asbestos Surveyor/Analyst you will... 

  • Have effective communication skills and the ability to liaise with contractors 
  • Have a strong work ethic 
  • Have strong IT skills 
  • Be conversant with current Asbestos & Health and Safety legislation and guidance 
  • Be flexible in your approach to working hours 
  • Be self-motivated and be able to work as part of a team 
  • Be competent in literacy and numeracy to construct accurate reports
